As a New Englander Alice Wellington is fond of natural landscapes and gravitates to nature for enjoyment and reflection at all times of year. She watches its changing patterns with fascination and observes or imagines life’s moments playing out in the shifting light. She looks for unplanned moments where natural light and circumstance present unusual beauty. At sunrise, late in the day and in turbulent changing weather, she pursues natural light’s transitory impression to capture the instant of perfect beauty before it turns back into the ordinary.
