JANET STEELE – Jewelry, Mixed Media

I started working in polymer clay a few years ago and fell in love with its versatility. Recently I got interested in precious metal clay, bought myself a kiln and have been creating jewelry in silver, bronze and copper. A trip to Egypt in 2007 inspired the original designs I create for my earrings, bracelets and
necklaces. Using the idea of Egyptian mosaics, I cover the surface to make unique keepsake wooden boxes. I also combine faux tiles and a collage effect on my one-of-a-kind mirrors.
